My Visit to HMT Museum Bangalore

 HMT Museum Bangalore

On 24th September 2022, I visited the HMT Museum in Jallahalli in Bangalore. HMT Heritage Centre and Museum showcase many Specimens, Miniature Models of Machines, Rare Watch Models, Educative Tractor Models - open to the public for the very first time. Existing materials collected from the factories and townships of HMT are refurbished and used to recreate the “HMTian” feeling.

The museum shows the journey of HMT From scratch to what it is now. A lot of people who are a fan of the original HMT watches, this is a must see for them. The tickets are cost friendly along with a Tractor ride of the original HMT Tractor. The first Hall shows the journey of HMT going all the way back to 1953.

This is the guide on the whole museum and tells us that each hall states a different story

That is me with my mom!

The journey of HMT

These two pictures state about the different factories located around the country and even outside it.

A map showing where HMT has factories of Certain products like machineries, watches and Tractors.

Moving on to the next place is the Time Art showing the machinery of the watch. we were shown the machinery of the watch under a microscope to understand how small it is and how they are carefully joined and assembled to make the watch and also showed a mechanism of pendulum Clocks.

That's a big working watch right there!

These are how watches were stored and tools and parts of the watch!

The Display of how watches are made and every other feature was amazing. There was an exclusive display of the most iconic watches of HMT and the costs are starting from Rs.5,000/- to Rs.8,000/- and even higher! this shows the high quality and efforts made to make this watch. I will be sharing all the pictures from the museum below for you all to enjoy them!

The showcase of Iconic watches mesmerized me completely and how those watches were extremely beautiful! The watches cost from Rs.5,000/- to more than Rs.8,000/-! I was very fascinated to see such beautiful watches.

We then went on to other sections and saw how beautiful each and every watch is made with such fine work and all that done by humans and not machines. In the early 2000's HMT Started to make machinery for several other companies and during this time they also launched their first ever Tractor. The engine was made by HMT and the tractor was designed and assembled by HMT employees.

I also did a tractor ride where we all sat in the tractor and rode an Original HMT Tractor ride. We also saw a floral clock in the garden in which was the machinery of HMT!
